Day 1: Arrival and Sigiriya
Arrive at the airport, meet your guide and transfer to Sigiriya. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 2: Sigiriya, Dambulla and Kandy
Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. On the way to Kandy, stop at a spice and herbal garden in Matale. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 3: Kandy and Nuwara Eliya
Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, home to the revered tooth relic of Lord Buddha, and explore Kandy city. Then drive to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at tea gardens, tea estates and waterfalls on the way. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 4: Nuwara Eliya and the Train to Ella
Explore Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England” due to its colonial architecture and cool climate. Then take the scenic train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella, where you are picked up at the station and taken to your hotel. Overnight stay in Ella.
Day 5: Ella, Yala and Mirissa
Visit Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge in Ella and stop at the Ravana Waterfalls. Then drive to Yala National Park for a jeep safari and continue to Mirissa for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Whale Watching and Transfer to Colombo
Go whale watching early in the morning from Mirissa. After the tour, drive to Colombo, stopping at the stilt fishermen, Galle Fort and a turtle hatchery on the way. Overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 7: Colombo City Tour and Departure
Explore Colombo city, then transfer to the airport for your departure. Travel back home with a treasure trove of experiences and stories from this enchanting island nation.
